Try it Yourself

This is my 6 month old's first masterpiece! This was very easy to do, messy but lots of fun. Take a canvas and tape off an area with masking tape or stickers (be creative), then put a few drops of finger paint on the canvas. ( I used Crayola washable finger paints. I was going to make homemade finger paint but I thought the food coloring might stain his clothes and skin so I went for the washable kind.) Let your baby/child go to town! (and try to keep their fingers out of their mouth, though the paint is non-toxic.) I took the masking tape off before the paint had completely dried, and voila, baby art!

Why pay for expensive baby furniture when you can do it yourself? This is the dresser/change table my husband and I made. The most expensive thing on it is the hardware. We got the oak dresser off the side of the road, sanded it, spray painted it and put new hardware on it. My husband took a piece of mdf, made a rectangle and nailed it together. Then he glued on a piece of trim bought and home depot and we spray painted it. Stick a store bought contour change pad in it and presto chango, an expensive looking change table that I love!
